Sloughi

This breed originated in North Africa and was treated as a member of its
family in its native lands. When it died the family mourned for it. It is similar to the
Saluki but has a smooth closed coat. It is used for hunting desert animals such as
Gazelles, Hares and Foxes. It weighs 20-27 kgs and is 61-72 cms tall.
