Hungarian expatriates took this dog to other countries during World war
II. And this allowed the Hungarian Vizsla to escape from extinction. Originally bred for
pointing and retrieving it is now a good family companion. It is obedient, dependable and
healthy. There is a wire haired and short-haired variety. It is still used as gun
dog. It weighs 22-30 kgs and is 57-64 cms in height. |
