| South African Big game hunters, took this breed to Rhodesia,for trailing
big game and then barking to attract the hunter's attention. Its size and strength offer
protection to the dog itself. They are loyal and affectionate dogs, characterised by a
stretch of hair that grows forward along the back. It is also known as the African
Lionhound. It weighs 30-39 kgs and is 61-69 cms tall. |
