Kerry Blue Terrier
This is the national Dog of Ireland. A profuse beard that needs constant
attention is very characteristic of this dog. It has a soft, silky and abundant coat which
should be cut with scissors. Kerry Blue puppies are born black but change to blue between
9 and 24 months of age. In general, the earlier the change in colour, the lighter the
eventual coat will be. It has a non-shedding top coat which makes it very suitable for
households. It is an excellent guard, ratter and retriever. It weighs 15-17 kgs and is
about 46-48 cms tall. (Photo: Ch. Echo of Aran Cross the Rubicon Courtesy: www.aristocratkerryblueterriers.com Aristocrat Kerry Blue Terriers) |
